What is your dream for Nelson?

There are almost 1,500 parking spaces in central Nelson, but what if, instead of using one of those spaces to park a car, we used it for something a little more creative.

On the 19th April 2023 New Zealand reached overshoot, the date for New Zealand when human consumption of ecological resources and services exceeded what Earth can produce in that year. It is clear that we can't continue with this level of consumption, but consuming less doesn't have to mean living less.

We invite you to come and spend some time in a conveniently placed bed, to relax, to read, to mend clothes, to write, to paint - to think about your dream for Nelson, however you want to use that space and that time.
